Walking to Marketplace Mall in Kalentong

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin in marketplace mall | 15 Comments »

I decided to go to the Marketplace Mall in Kalentong to have a haircut at David’s Salon. Since it was soo traffic that day because it was Dec. 31 and everyone was busy preparing for their New Year’s celebration, we decided to walk to the mall. Here’s the busy street leading to Kalentong and how Kalentong looks like every Dec. 31 of each year. It surprised us to see that the Marketplace Mall was partially burned and David’s Salon was temporarily closed, so I had to find another place for my haircut. The fire started when the fireworks and firecrackers of the vendors selling them was ignited by a cigarette butt early in the morning. That’s all! Does the Simon Property Group have a problem with free speech?

Posted on January 29th, 2010 by admin in marketplace mall | 6 Comments »

I thought capitalists believed in "the marketplace of ideas". I guess Melvin Simon does not. I think I’ll find out what malls he owns, so that I can avoid them. I’ll buy my T-Shirts elsewhere.

Marvin Simon is a big Obama donor.

. Melvin Simon has provided large political contributions to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Al Franken, John Edwards, the DNC and many other Democrats and Democrat organizations.

5. Melvin Simon was a major contributor to Barack Obama’s inaugural committee and has given at least $1 million to the William J. Clinton foundation.
